Saturation Diving Combat Badges: Hunter Guide
Compare the official Hunter, Hunter Killer, and Simply Better badge requirements, current award totals, and wording differences.
Which Saturation Diving badges require monster kills?
Hunter, Hunter Killer, and Simply Better are the three enabled combat badges in the official Roblox record. Their requirements move from one monster kill to ten kills in one run, then to the named Grimreef challenge of two kills in one level.
| Badge | Official requirement | Total awards on Sep 16 | Past-day awards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hunter | Kill a monster. | 28,981 | 546 |
| Hunter Killer | Kill ten monsters in one run. | 875 | 17 |
| Simply Better | Kill two grimreefs in one level. | 485 | 8 |
The award totals are dated Roblox counters. They do not measure unique-player completion rates, spawn odds, or the difficulty of a particular monster.
What is the difference between one run and one level?
The official text uses different boundaries for the two rare combat goals. Hunter Killer says ten kills must happen “in one run,” while Simply Better says two Grimreefs must be killed “in one level.” The public badge API does not define those terms further, so the wording should not be silently merged.
For Hunter, the record names no run or level restriction. It only says to kill a monster. That does not prove which weapons, roles, team actions, or environmental damage receive credit.
Which combat badge is rarest?
Simply Better had the lowest total award count in the September 16 snapshot. Its 485 awards were below Hunter Killer at 875 and far below Hunter at 28,981. That makes it the rarest of the three by total grants at the check time, not necessarily the mechanically hardest challenge.
Counts can differ because of requirement difficulty, feature timing, discovery, balance changes, or credit rules. Roblox’s public response does not identify the cause.
How should you verify a combat-badge attempt?
Use the live badge wording and preserve the stated boundary instead of relying on an old counter or copied walkthrough.
- Open the current Roblox badge list and confirm the badge is still enabled.
- For Hunter Killer, keep all ten credited kills inside the same run.
- For Simply Better, keep both Grimreef kills inside the same level.
- Check for the Roblox badge award before assuming the attempt counted.
- Record the experience update date when reporting a success or failure.
This checklist explains how to audit the objective. It does not claim an unverified weapon, spawn route, kill-credit rule, or counter strategy.
Does the badge API explain monster health or kill credit?
No. The official records confirm that monsters can be killed and that Grimreef is a named creature, but they do not publish health, damage, spawn sites, weapons, assist rules, team credit, or whether the final hit matters.
Use the Grimreef evidence guide for the named-creature boundary and the verified monster overview for the maintained source policy. The complete achievements table lists all 15 enabled badges, while the progression badges guide covers the one-to-fifteen-level endurance ladder.
